Botox Treatments
     What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
BOTOX® has been used therapeutically for more than 17 years to treat a variety of medical conditions. It is approved in more than 75 countries and remains the most-studied botulinum toxin and one of the most widely researched medicines in the world. In 2002, the same formulation – under the label BOTOX® Cosmetic – was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows in people ages 18 to 65.

What causes frown lines between the brows?
The lines that appear between your brows actually result from muscle movement and the passage of time. When powerful muscles between the brows contract, they draw the brows together, causing the skin to fold or furrow. As skin becomes less elastic with age, those folds or furrows result in stubborn lines.

How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work?
During treatment, very low doses of BOTOX® Cosmetic are administered via a few tiny injections directly into the muscles responsible for frown lines between the brows. By blocking the release of a chemical that causes these muscles to contract, BOTOX® Cosmetic enables them to relax. The effects are very localized and, when administered by an experienced physician, do not affect your ability to smile, laugh, or otherwise show expression. BOTOX® Cosmetic is the only product of its kind that has been approved for use in this area.

What are the common side effects?
The most common side effects following injection include temporary eyelid droop and nausea. Localized pain, infection, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, and/or bleeding/bruising may be associated with the injection.
What is the treatment like? BOTOX® Cosmetic is a quick and minimally invasive procedure consisting of a few tiny injections. Your doctor will determine exactly where to administer these injections to achieve the best results for you. No anesthesia is required, though he or she may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to injecting. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes, and there is no downtime afterward. Discomfort is minimal and brief. Localized pain, infection, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, and/or bleeding/swelling may be associated with the injection.

Will I still be able to make facial expressions?
Although you may see a marked improvement, a treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic does not make you look like you’ve “had work done.” The muscle activity that causes frown lines is simply reduced, so you can still frown or look surprised without the wrinkles and creases between your brows.

How soon will I see a difference?
You can expect to see results within days after your treatment, and the appearance of the area between your brows may continue to improve for up to a week. Your own results may vary – be sure to talk to your doctor about what you can expect.
Call today and schedule a consultation to find out if BOTOX® Cosmetic is right for you.

Restylane
Restylane® and Restylane-L® are the only products FDA approved for lip enhancement in patients over 21 years.
Who doesn't want beautiful lips? After all, lips play a central role in our sensual and emotional life—think attractive, youthful, kissable. So it's only natural to want to enhance the appearance of our lips, to match their shape and proportions to our unique facial structure. Or to add fullness to our lips when they lose volume with age.
Beautiful lips that last long after your lipstick is gone
Restylane provides the fullness and definition you can't get with lipstick or other cosmetics. Plus, Restylane is a beauty investment you don't wash off your face every night. So with just one treatment you can achieve beautiful, natural-looking lips—24 hours a day—for as long as six months.
Get a more comfortable lip treatment with Restylane-L
Concerned about potential discomfort during treatment? Then ask your doctor about Restylane-L. Featuring the numbing medication lidocaine, Restylane-L offers the beautiful, shapely lips you want with less discomfort. In clinical studies evaluating the laugh lines (nasolabial folds), Restylane-L demonstrated less discomfort at injection and up to one hour later when compared to Restylane.
Get the ideal lips for you—beautiful, natural looking, and just the way you want them. Ask your doctor if Restylane is right for you.
After treatment, you might have some swelling, redness, pain, bruising, or tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 14 days in lips. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 36 years, and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years.

Radiesse
Radiesse® is a more robust dermal filler for added support and structure to restore facial volume and correct moderate to severe folds and wrinkles for a more youthful appearance. This filler is longer lasting, up to one year or more, and has the unique ability to stimulate the growth of new collagen. Treatment results are immediate with little to no down time.

Radiesse is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that restores a natural, long lasting, youthful look. This convenient treatment can restore facial volume volume as well as correct smile lines, Nasolabial Folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Radiesse is made of unique calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe and minimally invasive procedure.

How does Radiesse work? Radiesse works with your body, below the skin’s surface. Tiny calcium-based microspheres form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Over time, the calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed by your body. Radiesse does more than just temporarily fill-in facial folds and wrinkles – it can restore facial volume for the youthful look you want.

How soon can I expect results?
How long will the results last? The results are immediate. Radiesse may last a year or more in many patients. Since results may vary, be sure to discuss your expectations with your doctor.

Is Radiesse safe? Yes. Hundreds of thousands of patients have experienced Radiesse and more than 4,000 physicians worldwide have been trained to provide Radiesse treatments. Through years of clinical studies and independent research, Radiesse has proven to be safe and effective. With Radiesse, you get FDA-approved, safe, clinically tested reliability.

How is a Radiesse treatment performed?
Radiesse is injected into the skin through a simple, safe, convenient procedure. Typically administered by a doctor’s office, with the use of a local anesthetic, Radiesse treatments have little to no downtime, with most patients returning to normal activities soon after treatment.

How many treatments will I need? Many patients will achieve their desired result after just one visit. Because Radiesse is a long term cosmetic enhancement, and to ensure your satisfaction, your physician might schedule a follow-up visit, where a touch-up treatment may be recommended.

Are there any side effects?
Normal, injection-related reactions, such as mild irritation, swelling, itching, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site may occur. These conditions typically resolve on their own.

Is Radiesse permanent?
No. Treatment results are long-lasting, but not permanent. The calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed by your body.

Juvederm
As you age, your skin changes. For example, it reduces production of a naturally hydrating substance called hyaluronic acid (HA). Over time, the loss of HA in your skin results in facial wrinkles and folds, like those “parentheses” lines around your mouth. Juvéderm™ injectable gel replaces the HA your skin has lost, bringing back its volume and smoothing away facial wrinkles and folds.

What makes Juvéderm™ different? While other HA fillers on the market have a more granular consistency, Juvéderm™ injectible gel is the first smooth-consistency HA gel. This is due to an innovative manufacturing process called HYLACROSS technology. HYLACROSS gives Juvéderm™ its unique smooth-gel properties as well as an optimal gel structure that holds up over time. That’s why Juvéderm™ injectable gel is the only HA filler that’s FDA approved to last up to a year.

What can I expect during and after a Juvéderm™ injectable gel treatment? Wrinkle correction with Juvéderm™ is a quick, in-office procedure with immediate results and no downtime. Common side effects with Juvéderm™ injectable gel usually are mild or moderate. Patients who are using substances that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, as with any injection, may experience increased bruising or bleeding at injection site. You should inform your physician before treatment if you are using these types of substances.
Experience the smooth, natural look and feel that lasts.
